The Fair
BRASILPLAST will receive visitors/buyers from 60 countries
The latest technological advances and the principal global tendencies of the segments which involve the plastics production chain will be presented by some 1,300 exhibitors from 30 countries, at Brasilplast 2009. The fair, one of the five biggest in the world in its sector – along with the K Fair (Germany), NPE (United States), Plast (Italy) and China Plastic (China) - should attract 65,000 visitors/buyers from various countries. Apart from establishing itself as one of the most important centres for the generation of business in Latin America, Brasilplast appears as one of the biggest centres for the launching of products and services in the market.
Brazil is the 8th largest consumer of plastic products in the world and one of the largest of the 15 biggest manufacturers of machinery for the sector. The turnover of the Brazilian industry of processed plastics was U$ 18.69 billion in 2007, representing a growth of 8.71% in relation to the previous year. The country produced more than 5.3 million tons of resins in this same period. Due to the technological advances of Brazilian machinery and equipment for the plastics industry, the potential for Brazilian exports is growing year by year.
Brasilplast 2009 will show the latest global tendencies in the sector. The fair will be organised and promoted by Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado, formed from the union between Reed Exhibitions, the largest company for events in the world, with more than 500 events on four continents, and Alcantara Machado, the principal name in the events’ segment in Latin America.
